Product Introduction:
Lipids are a naturally occurring mixture of low polarity (hydrophobicity) macromolecules, including fatty acids and their derived glycerides and phospholipids, as well as sterols such as cholesterol. The formation of cytoplasmic lipid droplets is a normal cellular physiological process, and lipid droplets are composed of neutral lipids, usually triglyceride lipid droplets, which serve as energy reserves; A small portion is cholesterol ester droplets, which serve as storage for excessive cellular cholesterol. Nile red dye is a lipophilic oxazine yellow light dye. After binding with lipid substances such as esters, triglycerides, and various fatty acids, strong orange yellow to red fluorescence (emitting a wavelength of 598m) is displayed under excitation at a wavelength of 543nm.
The advantage of the Lipid Fluorescent Staining Kit (Nile Red Method) is that it provides a composite fluorescent staining solution that can simultaneously perform tissue in situ staining on lipid substances and cell nucleus. Under green light excitation, lipid droplets appear red, while under ultraviolet light excitation, the nucleus appears blue, suitable for frozen sections and cell samples. This product is a ready to use reagent kit with stable performance and clear and sensitive coloring.
