Scientific research reagents, widely used in molecular biology, pharmacology and other scientific research. Rosiglitazone is a thiazolidinedione antidiabetic drug, which can effectively control blood glucose by improving insulin sensitivity. It is a highly selective and potent agonist of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor γ (PPAR-γ). Human PPAR receptors are present in major target tissues of insulin such as liver, adipose tissue, and muscle tissue. It activates the PPAR-γ nuclear receptor, which regulates the transcription of insulin-responsive genes involved in glucose production, transport and utilization. In addition, PPAR-γ responsive genes are also involved in the regulation of fatty acid metabolism.
It is soluble in DMSO and DMF (> 10mg/ml) and slightly soluble in methanol, ethanol and water (<1 mg/ml,25 ℃) at melting point of 153-155 ℃.
