The Aniline Blue Stain Solution, For Masson is mainly composed of aniline blue, weak acid, etc., which is acidic. It is often used in conjunction with the Ponceau-Acid Fuchsin Solution to stain collagen fibers. After staining, the muscle fibers turn red and the collagen fibers turn blue.
