Product Description:
Plasmid vector pBR322 is one of the most studied, earliest and most widely used Escherichia coli plasmid vectors. "p" in symbolic plasmid vector pBR322 stands for plasmid; "BR" stands for the first names of the two researchers Bolivar and Rogigerus, and "322" is the experimental number. pBR322 is an important artificially constructed plasmid, known as a universal plasmid. It is constructed from pSF2124, pMB8 and pSC101 by a complex recombination process.
The size of plasmid vector pBR322 is 4361bp, and its small relative molecular weight is its first advantage. The second advantage is that it carries a replication initiation site, which ensures that the plasmid only performs the replication function in E. coli cells. It has two antibiotic resistance genes, ampicillin resistance gene and tetracycline resistance gene, and the selection of markers for inverters is the third advantage of it.
This product is a purified PBR322 plasmid dissolved in TE buffer, which can be directly used for molecular cloning experiments such as vector construction and transformation.
