Operation steps:
1. Resin pretreatment.
732 resin is a strong acidic styrene cation exchange resin, and the new resin needs to be treated before use. The new resin to be used in the column is cleaned repeatedly with hot water at 70-80℃(clean tap water can be used). At the beginning of washing, change the water every 15 minutes, stir the water from time to time when washing, change the water 4-5 times, change the water every 30 minutes, a total of 7-8 times, soak until the water is not brown and foam is little. The resin can also be soaked in 10% sodium chloride solution for 24 hours, and then washed with water until the washing water is colorless.
2. Acid treatment.
The acid treatment is best carried out in the exchange column, and the resin is first placed in the column by the wet loading method. Slowly flow through the resin with 1N hydrochloric acid, the amount is about 2-3 times the volume of strong acid positive resin, and 1.5 times the bed volume flow every hour. After the acid is finished, let it soak for about 1 hour. Then rinse with water until the effluent PH is about 5.
3. Alkali treatment.
1N NaOH was used to flow through the resin with the same dosage and velocity as 1. After the alkali is finished, soak again for about 1 hour. Then rinse with water until the effluent PH is about 9.
4. Transform.
If H type is required, the resin is converted to H type with 1N hydrochloric acid or sulfuric acid, the amount is 3-5 times the volume of the resin, and the flow rate is the same as 1. After the acid flow is finished, rinse with deionized water until the effluent PH value is above 6, you can put into use.
If Na type is used, it is not necessary to transform, and it can be put into use after alkali treatment is completed. However, deionized water is required for rinsing the resin.
5. Regeneration.
Before the birth, the resin is backwashed until the water is colorless and transparent.
The H-type resin was passed through the column with 1N HCL and the Na type resin was passed through the column with 1N NaoH (8% NaCL solution can also be used), the dosage was 2-3 times the volume of the column fat, and the flow rate was 1 times the bed volume per hour.
After the regenerated liquid is finished, the column is washed with deionized water until the water is neutral and can be put into use again.
