| Background | Amitriptyline Hydrochloride is a serotonin reuptake transporter (SERT) and norepinephrine reuptake transporter (NET) inhibitor. Also binds to the dopamine reuptake transporter (DAT). Also inhibits adrenergic receptors， muscarinic receptors， histamine receptors， and 5-HT receptors. It is also a TrkA and TrkA receptor agonist with strong neurotrophic activity. Has antidepressant effects. |
