Under the action of induction medium, stem cells will gradually differentiate into osteocytes, resulting in an obvious calcium-secreting reaction, forming calcium salt crystals or calcareous nodules, which can be stained by alizarin red. When successful induction into adult bones, calcareous nodules appear red or orange-red when combined with alizarin red dye. Subsequently, the OD value at 560 nm was detected by CPC for semi-quantitative analysis. This kit is composed of alizarin red staining solution, CPC solution and standard, which is suitable for evaluation of the effect after osteogenic induction, and can also be used for the detection of calcium salts in other cell or tissue samples.
