* CY is the abbreviation of Cyanine, the classic cyanine dye contains two nitrogen-containing heterocyclic rings, the molecule contains a conjugated chain composed of methylchuan (CH) n, n can be odd or even.This characteristic can significantly affect their electronic structure in the electron ground state of the equilibrium structure, both ends of the conjugated chain or in the middle of the chain are connected with heterocyclic ring, aromatic ring compounds, cycloalene compounds and conjugated chains to form a large conjugated system, the hydrogen inside the molecule can be replaced by a certain number of various substituents.CY dyes are often used for the labeling of proteins, antibodies and small molecule compounds. For the labeling of protein antibodies, the binding can be completed through a simple mixing reaction.
* In general, Cyanine dyes contain two isomeric forms, one is non-sulfonated cyanines and the other is sulfonated cyanine.The spectroscopic properties of the two are nearly identical, so most applications are interchangeable, for example, for labeling biological molecules such as DNA or proteins.The main difference between the two is that the sulfonated dyes are water-soluble, there is no need to use organic co-solvents in the aqueous labeling reaction system, and the possibility of dye aggregation in water is reduced, and the labeling efficiency is enhanced.
* Cy series belongs to the class of cyanine dyes, where Cy SE is an insoluble form and Sulfo Cy SE is a highly water-soluble form sulfonated.It is widely used to label biomolecules such as peptides, proteins and oligomers.In addition to labeling biomolecules, Cy series dyes are also commonly used for imaging animals In Vivo.Since the spontaneous fluorescence of cells and tissues is small in the near-infrared band, and the penetration depth of near-infrared light in biological tissues is larger, Cy series dyes can provide higher specificity and sensitivity when detecting complex biological systems.At the same time, Cy series dyes also have biosecurity that dyes in the ultraviolet region and isotope labeling cannot have, which is conducive to monitoring the distribution of various labeled molecules in living organisms.
