Product Introduction:
DiOC2(3) (3,3 '-Diethyloxacarbocyanine, iodide) is a widely used membrane potential probe. For example, when used to study mitochondrial membrane potential, DiOC2(3) is able to penetrate the cytoplasm of eukaryotic cells. At concentrations below 100 nM, the DiOC2(3) dye accumulated in mitochondria with active membrane potential, forming red fluorescent aggregates. DiOC2(3) stained cells could be visualized by blue excitation, green emission and red emission of flow cytometry. This reagent can be used in combination with other reagents, such as red-excited Annexin V-APC, for viability and apoptosis studies.
Precaution:
1. All fluorescent dyes have quenching problems, please try to avoid light to slow down the fluorescence quenching.
2. For your safety and health, please wear a laboratory coat and wear disposable gloves to operate.
