Product introduction:
Mag-Fura-2 is a UV-susceptible magnesium ion fluorescent indicator with a dissociation constant of 1.9 mM. Similar to Fura-2, the excitation wavelength of Mag-Fura-2 undergoes a blue shift from 369 nm to 330 nm. Mag-Fura-2 can also respond to Ca2+, but with a lower dissociation constant than Fura-2. Mag-Fura-2 is mainly used to detect calcium concentration at high transient peaks. Mag-Fura-2/ tetrasodium salts can be introduced into the cells by microinjection into the cells or by scratch labeling.
Precaution:
1. The fluorescence indication of this product is best when the calcium ion concentration ranges from 1 to 100 uM, or the magnesium ion concentration ranges from 0.1 to 10 mM.
2. Zn2+, Cd2+ and Gd3+ can also bind to the fluorescent indicator, which may interfere with the experiment.
