Product introduction
The molecular weight of Protoporphyrin IX is 562.66, CAS number is 553-12-8. The content of protoporphyrin in the body can indirectly reflect the lack of iron. The kit uses acidified solution to destroy red blood cells and extract protoporphyrin (FEP), which will emit fluorescence under ultraviolet irradiation. The content of FEP can be determined by fluorescence colorimetry, which is mainly used to detect the content of free protoporphyrin (FEP) in erythrocytes of human and animal blood, reflecting the degree of iron deficiency anemia, but the corresponding hematocrit should be detected beforehand or afterwards.
