Product Introduction:
An alkaloid with weak antibiotic properties and as a substrate for bacterial MDR efflux pumps. The antimicrobial activity of berberine is enhanced by the MDR inhibitor 5-methoxyhydnocarpin (5-MHC). Berberine regulates Pgp gene expression in hepatocellular carcinoma cells
